In 1910, a total of (25) 2-6-0 E-12 Moguls #1000-1024 were produced by the Canadian Locomotive Company for the Grand Trunk Railway. They were mostly used on branch lines where grades weren’t too steep and the trains were shorter. Saddled on 63″ drivers, the E-12s ran at 170psi and produced 25,300lbs of tractive effort. When the GTR was absorbed by the CN in 1923, the E-12s were reclassified as E-10-a and were renumbered 902-936. By 1951, (17) of the (25) were still on the roster: #80-96.
